The Shadow-made-conscious, therapeutically-journeyed you?

The Ominous, Beauteous, Light-filled Shimmering you?

The mystically annihilated you, the road-weary foot-blistered you?

The Zen-zafu numbed you, the Yoga-stretched hamstring you?

The Tibetan mountainous, Khailas-circumambulated you?

The Zhikr-chanting Sufi-whirling peace-dancing you?

The Guatamalan, Mayan Temple-view-across-the-treetops you?

The Hymn Singing, Worship-Leading Stole-bearer you?

The Stone-circle, Crop-circle, conspiracy-theorist you?

The academic, intellectually-redefinining of “spirituality” you?

The creative, home-making, tea-and-biscuit making you?

The one who can’t find you in all these ‘yous’ of You?

The confused, cynical, angry, misunderstood you

Who hears, with tears, the call beyond you, to find you -

To feel the you of you, just here, in all the doing of you

A you, that is always you, amidst the fluctuations in you

A freely-floating transparency of you, a wisping-in-the-wind you

The here-ness of you, if that’s what they call the Spirit-in-you?

The Contemplative-meditative-prayerful dimension of you

That forever lulls the sweet one-called ‘you’, into the Oneness of S/he who called you
