Heaven’s Keyhole
Once, when Heaven’s Angel fumbled for the key
A Portal to the Light
Revealed a glimpse of Thee
A Ray, through keyholed squint
Down-gazed upon my eye
Its sent rayed-hand kissed my iris
And stretched my soul
Full-emptied with the sky is -
Squeezed thin, pulled lightly through the keyhole
I entered in
My Soul was Oneside
My Body, the other –
Before any Angels noticed
I became one with Father-Mother
My soul, gold-spins of threaded light
Through Portal’s keyhole – Beheld God’s sight!
Soul’s pores now swelling to Infinity
Unable to return to earth’s modernity
Preferred dancing in Angelic frivolity
My Soul was Free
Yet, so dominant was
the Light of Divinity
My body could not move its physicality
My heart, it seems, broke into Heaven,
Unknowingly, now so free, when
Forever knowing Me in Thee
It caused my heart to be
Willingly
In happy ensouled captivity
The Angels, found a playful soul
Returned to Heaven’s Hall
Infused and healed my heart
With Love of Moksha-All
For earth’s heavy onward toil
Their promised lyres on Heaven’s side
Play with me, knowing my weary body tried
To attune my heart to Purity
For noble Spiritual Liberty
Until one day, my work be done
At Peace, my Body kneels again before
And, Angels nodding,
slip the key beneath
To Heaven’s Door
